I graduated from BMC Durfee Highschool in 1992 and received my BA in Mass Communications from Emerson College in 1996.  I received my juris doctorate from UMass Law Dartmouth in 2004.

 

While in law school I interned at my parent's law firm Gunner & Gunner and was able to be exposed to many different types of law.  After passing the bar, interested in elder issues I accepted a position with Family Service Association in the Guardianship Program.  I worked for them until I started my own practice in 2008.

 

Since 2005, I have worked with CPCS defendiing the mentally ill in commitment hearings and as Rogers Counsel.  I have also worked closely with the Department of Mental Health and numerous nursing homes to be nominated as guardian and conservator for people whose family or friends are unable to accept the position.

 

I have completed numerous MassHealth applications and assisted families to obtain the proper documents to qualify.  I have also attended MassHealth appeals including being successful in Superior Court. 

 

Having focused on Guardianships and Conservatorships for years, I believe that my knowledge can be helpful to families and friends during this time.  Let my years of experience help you through this difficult and confusing process.
